The Rhenosterhoek Valley has been a fly-fishing destination for serious anglers for generations. Gunyatoo sits on two stocked trout dams fed by the clear mountain stream that runs through the property.
Whether you are an experienced fly fisherman or picking up a rod for the first time, Gunyatoo has a stretch of water for you. Guided sessions can be arranged on request.
The upper dam is the larger of the two and suits a wide range of skill levels. Stocked with rainbow and brown trout, it offers reliable fishing throughout the year with accessible banks and good casting positions.
The lower dam sits closer to the stream and rewards patience and technique. Surrounded by natural vegetation, it is best suited to anglers who know their way around a fly rod.
