Thank you immensely for allowing us to have our wedding ceremony at Gunyatoo. The practical support, calm direction and subtle suggestions helped make our day a magical and memorable event. The team moved around unnoticed, yet ensured everything was tip-top. And of course the setting and the scenery were beyond gorgeous. How fortunate we are to have had such a perfect day in such a perfect setting.
Great venue with lots to do around. Debs is a great host who, if you ask for it, can cook up a storm for you. The food was done with love and care and you can definitely taste it. Will definitely come again!
I can’t say enough about this property, Debbie’s hospitality and communication were wonderful flexible, accommodating and wonderful chats. The house its self is perfect for a group of friends, we took the log Cabin that sleeps 6, close by to the house and the main house, which sleeps 10. Breakfasts at the house were delicious with the menu changing each day. Upstairs is so homely and welcoming, with multiple areas great for kids and adults to be in the same place but have enough space, the log fires everywhere set the mood perfectly, and a bar counter to sit at before or after dinner just perfect, there is an outdoor terrace that has an amazing view and a bbq perfect for lunches or dinners. It’s difficult to explain, but you arrive and feel like it’s your own beautiful home. Downstairs is another large dining table for breakfasts or games. TV for sports and a pool table avaliable. We enjoyed the serenity of the trout dams and streams, and thank you Debbie for helping us cook our trout caught in the dam. The kids found the instructions patience and warm character from Bueller your Manager wonderful! Lots to do less than 30
Min away, including craft breweries, toboggans, horse rides, waterfall hikes to beautiful natural swimming pools, etc.
We loved it and made wonderful Memories, thank you to Debbie, Bueller and the Gunyatoo Team, we look forward to coming back and trying out the other accommodation, the Love Shack looked awesome.
We stayed at Gunyatoo, our only problem was that we were only there for one night. We had and incredible and perfect stay, from such an easy and fluent check-in, to the absolutely stunning and clean rooms (We stayed in Kingfisher in the main house) to the surreal beauty of the valley where Gunyatoo is. We enjoyed every minute in the loft, with the pool table, darts, bar and scenic veranda braai (perfect for groups and friends). The breakfast was what you’d expect from a generous farmhouse feast. Thank you Gunyatoo and staff, we will definitely be seeing you soon.
I manage a 5 star lodge in the greater Kruger, and I am super impressed with this incredible stay. True highveld hospitality in a beautiful farmhouse lodge.
